The Draft

Here is the current teams within the league and the owners. Below is the 2007 draft held already in MBL (Madden Ballas League). Three teams are currently owned. The Oakland Raiders played by Hitst1ck. The Houston Texans ran by RumblingStatue (me), and finally the Tampa Bay Buccaneers owned by Sn1pa4sho.

Oakland Raiders

1st Round - QB - Troy Smith (Ohio St.) (82 rank) - Very fast and has a decent arm off the run. Can throw deep, but can make costly errors

1st Round Grade = B+ (due to his ability to avoid sack)

2nd Round - CB - Leon Hall (Michigan) (80 rank) - Has a great future as a corner and can cover well, but lacks tackling ability. We're looking at the next Champ Bailey if he works on tackling, because he always comes to play.

2nd Round Grade = B

3rd Round - WR - Dwayne Jarrett (USC) (78 rank) - Drafted for his great hands, but hasnt proven it yet, and can't build the speed to pass corners. Look for someone to take his place at the #1 WR slot for the Raiders.

3rd Round Grade = C-

4th Round - SS - LaRon Landry (LSU) (79 rank) - Great pick in the 4th round by the Raiders. A steal for his catching ability at safety, which picks up his slow speed. Hard hitting DB like Roy Williams and great tackler.

4th Round Grade = A-

5th Round - WR - Calvin Johnson (Georgia Tech) (75 rank) - Calvin, Calvin, Calvin... what can I say. Proving why he was 2nd overall in the real draft. His height allows him to grab unreachable balls like Randy Moss. One of the top 3 WR's in this draft.

5th Round Grade = B+

6th Round - FS - Tom Zbikowski (Notre Dame) (78 rank) - I know what you're thinking... Didn't he go into Professional Boxing? Yes, he did but since I'm a HUGE Irish fan I couldn't leave him out. One of the best picks in the draft. Hands like a WR and strength like a LB, no match.

6th Round Grade = A

7th Round - OLB - Lawerence Timmons (Florida St.) (74 rank) - Decent tackler and quick enough to cover any TE. High potential, but like most the Raiders needs to work on tackling.

7th Round Grade = C+

Overall Grade = B+

Houston Texans

1st Round - QB - Brady Quinn (Notre Dame) (82 rank) - What did I tell you? I love Notre Dame and I had to get him. Dead on accurate describes him. Deep and on the money covers up that he is the slowest QB out of the draft.

1st Round Grade = B

2nd Round - RB - Kenny Irons (Auburn) (79 rank) - Amazingly similiar to a NFL RB... LT, with his speed and moves he gained 147 yds. on 12 carries and 2 td's in the Draft Analysis Game... Impressive.

2nd Round Grade = A

3rd Round - WR - Jeff Samardzija (Notre Dame) (85 rank) - Is this MLB 07? Chicago Cubs maybe? NO... My favorite player needed to be in the draft and I'm glad I can hook these college teammates up (Brady Quinn). With his stature he can grab passes out of mid air like Calvin Johnson, and has decent speed... A tall Steve Largent maybe? (former Hall of Fame WR for Seattle)

3rd Round Grade = B

4th Round - RE - Gaines Adams (Clemson) (77 rank) - One big boy that can float like a feather throw any OT. Dangerously fast off the line and could be "somebody" in the NFL's future.

4th Round Grade = B

5th Round - SS - Michael Griffin (Texas) (80 rank) - Hard to judge in the Draft Analysis Game due to the amount of defensive players. Good speed and decent tackler. Needs help on coverage, but has potential.

5th Round Grade = B

6th Round - OLB - Patrick Willis (Ole Miss) (78 rank) - Nice tackles in the Analysis Game and good coverage. One of the few LB's drafted, not quite as good as Lawerence Timmons.

6th Round Grade = B-

7th Round - OT - Levi Brown (Penn St.) (79 rank) - Beastly at the position. This monster should open up a breakfast shop because he can dish out the pancakes like no other. Essential to Kenny Iron's running and Brady Quinn's pocket passing.

7th Round Grade = A

Overall Grade = B
